Leusë & Lipë: Albanian Mountain Village Froze In time

The mountain village froze in time.  Now, it seems, only older people live there.

It was a hard hike up to Leusës.  We then traversed a pass from Leusë to Lipë, then went downhill back to Përmet.

Beautiful wall frescoes and intricate wood-carved decor at the St. Mary Church at Leusë built in the late 18th century.

Not much at Lipë village, but great views of Përmet, the valley, and the mountain range from different angles along the hike.

The view of the mountain reminds me of the mountain range in HK - the silhouette of the mountain range is very similar, with more greenery.
